I am bewildered in your bed sheets,
wrapped in ribbons,
my rushing thoughts,
hurry out as hurtling breaths,
and I can’t think of anything,
but the softness of your voice.
Your touch softens,
I am alight,
then you are deliciously rough with me,
and I am anxious energy,
wanting you to want me,
watching you with eager eyes,
impulsive and lost to longing.
You let me belong to you,
I am unafraid of your authority,
just the right side of bratty,
but always agreeable,
when the time is right,
when your tone is sublime.
I am glowing long after you’ve gone,
wrapped in my ribbons,
and your fairy lights.
